The essential criterion is one of the following investment opportunities along with other details:
Purchase of new real estate with a minimum market value of EUR 300000 + VAT. The applicant must submit the application form along with a sales contract and proof of payment for a minimum of EUR 200000 + VAT. The selling agreement must have been submitted to the Department of Land and Surveys of Cyprus. The property may also be purchased by a corporation provided that the corporation is registered in the applicant’s or applicant’s spouse’s name. Additionally they must be sole shareholders.
Purchase of up to two non-residential immovable properties (offices stores hotels or other developments) with a combined market worth of at least EUR 300000 plus VAT.
The share capital of EUR 300000 of a physical company registered and operating in Cyprus with at least five employees Units of EUR 300000 in the collective investments of the Cyprus Investment Funds Association (AIF AIFLNP RAIF)
The applicant must give evidence of a stable yearly income of at least 30000 euros originating from abroad. This income must grow by €5000 for each spouse and kid and €8000 for each dependent parent. The income may consist of for instance wages from employment rents pensions and stock dividends.
With the filing of the application, a cost of EUR 500 is due, plus EUR 50 for biometric capture. The application will then be essentially reviewed by the Civil Registry and Migration Department before being forwarded to a permanent secretary of the Ministry of the Interior, who will render a decision within two months. Once approval is given, the applicant and all family members must go to Cyprus within one year to get the real permit. When in Cyprus, a visit to the migration office in Nicosia is scheduled in order to collect biometric information for all family members applying. The biometric information may be supplied alongside the application for residency, during the application process, or immediately upon approval.
