This Program, ‘The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot,’ is a program led by the community. It is intended to distribute the advantages of economic immigration to smaller communities by establishing a path to permanent residence for qualified foreign Skilled workers who wish to work and stay in one of the collaborating communities.
Regarding the process
This pilot has four steps for seeking permanent residence.
- Verify that you satisfy both
- IRCC eligibility criteria and
- The criteria relevant to the community
- Find an eligible job position in one of the participating communities with an employer
Once you have received an offer of employment, submit your recommendation request to the community. If a community recommends you for permanent residency, apply for it.
