The Citizenship by Investment Board, which oversees a dedicated citizenship by investment unit (CIU), will evaluate an application for citizenship, and its decision may be to grant citizenship, refuse citizenship, or delay citizenship for a cause. Before the CIU may process an application, it must be accompanied by the required supplementary materials. All applications must include the applicable nonrefundable processing and due diligence fees for the primary applicant, their spouse, and each qualifying dependent.
The principal applicant must transfer the requisite amounts for the qualifying choice within ninety calendar days of receiving notification of application approval. A successful applicant must sign the oath or affirmation of loyalty in front of a lawyer, royal, or public notary. In extraordinary situations, the minister may, by order, rescind a grant of citizenship if deemed essential.
