Living and experiencing new cultures and behaviors is an integral part of studying abroad. In addition to selecting a prestigious university to study at, the living environment is a significant aspect of a student’s experience abroad since it will serve as a second home. When studying abroad in Thailand, there are popular locations and attractions for international students to study and visit.
Visa application procedure: To attend school in Thailand as a student from another country, you will need to apply for a student visa. Studying in Thailand for a semester or longer requires obtaining a non-immigrant education visa valid for 90 days, which can be renewed and extended for up to a year at Thai immigration offices. You need to receive confirmation that you have been accepted into a designated course at a Thai university in order to submit an application for a visa. Your home country’s Thai consulate or embassy will need certain documentation from you, like an acceptance letter, application form, valid passport, passport photos, and proof of adequate funds (20,000 baht per person, or approximately US$360), at your scheduled appointment. Contact your local Thai embassy or consulate for more information on fees and how to apply.
